The only reason why Jokaa doesn't kill her is because of the power of the cross which has been in her family for so many years.
	Marion Choy One of the few people that has survived the fury of one of Soren's attacks. She becomes Melanie's liaison in Hong Kong and helps her plan his capture. She is a strong willed woman who was part of an elite squadron before the tragedy. She only helps Melanie because it allows her a chance to get at Soren.

	Soren Tang A highly trained assassin with links to one of the organizations in Hong Kong. He is an elite killer who knows how to use almost all the weapons in the world. He is wanted by the police for killing many people especially police officers. He has many skills, one of them is the ability to escape most situations. The story starts with him.
	Seraphin St. Etienne Trained by the Knights Organization from a young age her mission is to eliminate the "No Life Kings" by any means necessary. Seraphin has eliminated almost half of the "No Life Kings" ranks by herself. Melanie's family is also a member of the organization, but has become and outcast for her use of Jokaa. After the events in Hong Kong, the Knights sent Seraphin to finish Jokaa and bring Melanie back to stand trial before the Knights.
